After 4 days of devastation, the fires in South Greece have killed 63 people, burnt over 150 villages and destroyed 80% of  the forests there. Our prayers are with the tragic families who have lost their people, with all the people who have lost their houses, their belongings, their farms, their livestock.

This is an unspeakable tragedy we are living in (we as in Greek people). Noone can heal the wounds of this people.

A big thanks to all those heroes , firefighter and volunteers, who gave their lives to save villages and people. A huge thanks to all the pilots of our airplanes and helicopters who try to put the fires out and try to evacuate people from the burning villages the past 4 days with almost no sleep, no food, no rest.

Thank you, Cyprus, France, Israel, Russia, Germany, Holland, Spain, Italy, Serbia, Romania, Switzerland, Finland for the helicopters, the airplanes and the firefighters you sent here.

May this never happen again!
