I use Kaspersky on one computer, Norton on another.
Norton uses a lot of resources but apart from that its seems ok..
Kaspersky is just generally good..

I dont understand NOD32, is it the same as the others? Because I downloaded a trial and it didnt run in the background it was just an on-demand scanner?
Did I get the wrong version?

NOD32 all the way. I have used Norton , KAV (really good but 6.0 and the whole lag it caused to my system made me get rid off it) and NOD32.

Option added in the poll BTW.

I use norton. but it get's on nerves, if it messages all day, that you "should run a full system scan".

I use trend mirco because its the same anti-virus/anti-spy software that hotmail uses. If you notice on all scanned messages it says "Scanned With Trend Micro" Its very good and doesn't use to much processing power.
Also the options given to the user allow you to do practically anything you want.

Number 1!
