Boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. will earn a record $20 million for his first professional wrestling match next month. The undefeated WBC welterweight champion will take on Paul "Big Show" Wight as part of WWE's "WrestleMania XXIV" at Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Fla., on March 30.

Anyone else betting that floyd is gonna ko big show? Sounds crazy but i think floyd like he says break the big shows jaw he just needs to keep the match at his speed if big show gets ahold of him its gonna be over. Also $20 million for a one time fight thats a crazy amount of money.

if it were real mayweather would beat his ass due to insane speed & strength matching up against just strength... but sadly it isnt so who knows...

and $20 million for one match is crazy... makes you wonder how much they paid tyson a few years back since he was in several matches/confrontations on various wwf pay-per-views/shows

I agree man i have watched all of mayweather boxing matches and his insane speed/strength agianst everyone he went agaisnt is crazy. As for the amount of money mike tyson got i bet it made him set the rest of his life along with all the earnings he made in his matches.

20 millions just for one appearance? Hell, i am not into fighting at all but for 20 million, i can go there and get my ass beat up.

I think i would put risk before reward. lol even though big show would have only about 245 pounds over me for height maybe '7 over me. I think i wouldnt get injured that bad i would still have some left over from the hospital bills. lol

don't know about being injured, but 20mills is by my oppinion worth getting your ass kicked for

you could buy yourself a new whatever he broke and still have several million left over

i dont believe it will be 20 mill for mayweather , he has to make mania sell 1.8mill buys? that would be a mania high ~ hell probably make around 2 million , and yah most likly beat the big show.

$20 million wouldn't be hard for them to pay considering how many people will...

A. buy tickets
B. buy it on pay-per-view
& C. buy random merchandise/food at the event

All of those are almost right besides B, With all the hacked free tv im sure that number is dropping more and more. Or the people just buy it from friends or something instead of buying it. ^^

plus TV revenue, commercials, advertising in the hall etc etc.

the number of pay-per-view buyers may be dropping but there's still alot of money that comes in from that... plus the things vf named are huge
