i've lost track of which one is the best ever since they both went dual core. I still lean toward AMD

I will be honest. I originally was always a genuine Intel fan. I used them for a very long time.

One day I got tired of same old outdated pc, I then built an AMD 3200. I used it and out performed many other gaming systems for awhile. Was an outstanding cpu, highly impressed.

Then this core2 duo came out. Heres the catch yes I built a new system not but, ermm... I would say 6-8 months ago give or take. Anyways... Core2Duo 6750, 2 gigs ram. I've never over clocked it, as I honestly do not think you should have to over clock a system to get a more powerful one.

Don't get me wrong guys, I like it. But I wish I had went with AMD2.. Dunno its just sometimes I see no big difference in performance from my old pc to this one. Then other times I notice a big difference.

I am considering selling mine on ebay, use cash from it and build a AMD2 powered system.

I've always used an AMD. I find it is a more steady processor and works like a charm for almost everything I do.

uhm......ok?
currently intel is beating amd in the performance race and has been since the release of the core 2. I am building an intel system atm because that's the way I decided to go. If I had decided to build a computer before the core 2 came out I would have gone with an amd without question.

The core2's can be gotten for a few hundred and overclocked without much trouble to 3.0 Ghz+.

I would go with intel just because am intel fanboy.

I would comment about AMD but i never used AMD. But I did hear that Amd is good for price like there cpu quad are just under $220 and overclock amazingly well compared to the intel q6600. And there 3870 PCI card is just under $150. So that's some bang for the buck.

Yea I got my Quad @ 3.5Ghz With 1.4 Voltage
